Inclusive Real Estate Practices: Navigating Fair Housing Laws for Agents is a comprehensive continuing education course designed to equip real estate professionals with the knowledge and practical tools needed to foster inclusive, equitable practices while remaining fully compliant with federal fair housing laws. Offered by the Georgia Mountains & Lakes REALTORS® Association, this course explores the history, purpose, and evolution of fair housing legislation in the United States, helping agents understand not just the regulations, but the principles behind them. Participants will learn to identify protected classes, recognize prohibited discriminatory practices, and confidently apply fair housing standards in everyday professional scenarios. Led by instructor Courtney Holman, the course provides 3 hours of CE credit approved for Real Estate Licensee and Real Estate Instructor continuing education, with certification offered through GAR Partners in Education.

Courtney Holman

Courtney Holman is a dedicated real estate professional committed to helping clients navigate the complexities of buying, selling, and investing in property. With a background in finance dating back to 2005, she brings a unique perspective to guiding her clients toward achieving their real estate goals.

A lifelong learner, Courtney holds a B.S. in Psychology from Georgia State University and a Master’s in Education with a concentration in Adult Learning from Central Michigan University. Her passion for education and mentorship led her to real estate, where she obtained certification from the National Association of Expert Advisors (NAEA) to refine her skills in assisting buyers and sellers.

Courtney is especially passionate about educating first-time homebuyers and sellers, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to make confident, informed decisions. She is the co-author of The Ultimate Real Estate Survival Guide and actively contributes to the industry as a Certified Home Buying Advisor through NAEA.

Currently, Courtney serves as the Qualifying Broker for CJ Property Solutions, LLC and an Associate Broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. She also dedicates her time to teaching real estate courses, helping aspiring professionals and seasoned agents expand their expertise.
